School Supply List

You can find your child's

school supply list HERE:

Calling Students In Late - Out Early - Out Sick

START OF THE DAY:  Students are expected to enter the school at 7:40am (first bell) and will be marked TARDY after 7:45am (second bell).

  • Kindergarten and 1st Grade students line up and meet teachers at Door 7

  • 2nd & 3rd Grade students line up and meet teachers at Door 6

  • 4th & 5th Grade students line up and meet teachers at Door 5

Any students arriving after second bell (7:45am), they must stop in the office where their attendance and lunch choice will be taken.

If you know that your student will arrive after 7:45am, you can call them in to be marked as EXCUSE.  Failure to call in or make it in the school on time will result in an UNEXCUSED ABSENCE.

STUDENT IS ILL / HAS APPOINTMENT:  If your student is not feeling well or has an appointment please call them in as soon as possible, these absences are EXCUSED.

LEAVING EARLY:   If your student needs to leave for an appointment during the school day, please contact the school office and we can make the teacher aware of it or send an email to teacher and they will share with the office.  We will call the student down when someone gets here to pick up.  Knowing in advance will make the pick up go much quicker.

The office is extremely busy in the morning, so if we cannot answer your call please leave a DETAILED MESSAGE (Name of student, grade/ teacher, and reason for absence).

E Cook Traffic Pattern

Let’s talk about DROP OFF & PICK UP SAFETY.

We understand the the weather is sometimes not favorable, or sometimes we are running late, but it is even more important at those times that we abide by the traffic plan that we have in place for the safety of the students. It becomes very dangerous for students if this plan is not followed.

  • NO parent vehicles should be in the circle drive between 7:30am - 8:00am, this area is reserved for school bus traffic ONLY!

  • Please be very aware of the crosswalk and the Crossing Guard at the corner of Hazel and Bent Avenue.  ALL of our students should be using this crosswalk!!

  • If you have to come in, PLEASE, make every attempt to park off of Hazel to allow the other parents to make quick drop-offs or pick-ups.  (Traffic will be monitored closely by law enforcement and tickets could potentially be issued)

Lighted School House will empower students socially and academically by providing unique, extended-day learning opportunities in partnership with the school, families, and the community.

A Typical Day:
2:45-5pm- Program Duration
Healthy Snack and Recess

During enrichment hour, students participate in activities that expand on learning in ways that differ from the school day's methods. They often are interactive and project-focused.

The program serves any student that needs a safe and fun place to go after school. Programs are designed to enrich learning experiences in an afterschool setting.

We cannot guarantee the enrollment of students. Enrollment numbers are determined based on the number of available staff. For more information, please contact the site coordinator.
