Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible

Be Safe / Be Respectful:  When you talk to your child about their day, please make sure to give a reminder that recess is for playing kindly with other students.  Many students rough house, wrestle or play “pretend” fighting, and most times things get out of hand or the other student thinks they are being attacked for real.

Be Responsible:  Hello Winter!  Now that we have snow on the ground students should be bringing boots, snow pants, warm coats, hats and mittens to school each day.  Students are more than welcome to leave their items at school so it is here for them each day, however most take them home.  Reminded them to take their wet items out of bags so they are dry for the next day's use. 

Kiwanis Food Drive

Starting today Emmeline Cook will be partnering with the Mid-Morning Kiwanis and doing a food drive.  We are asking all of our families to consider donating a non-perishable food item. We will be collecting items in boxes, 1 down each hallway.  The last day to bring in items is Tuesday, December 6th.

Looking for ways to show your Cougar pride? Our 2022-23 Spiritwear collection is now ready! Order forms are coming home in blue envelopes this week. Deadline for submitting orders is Thursday, November 17th. To see a sneak peak of the items available click HERE.
